In Sindhudurga District, Malvan is very important Taluka. Malvan has got very nice sea-shore. But it is mainly known for famous "Sindhudurg fort". Maratha king Shri Shivaji Maharaj built this fort on island of 'kurte'. In those days Malvan was used for ship building & repairing works.Then the city developed accordingly. It was planed city with market area, Residence Offices etc.

Situated in the western part of Sindhudurg, the Dhamapur Lake is well known for its clean, crystal clear waters. Spread over 5 acres, the lake area is ideal for excursions and water sports. Dhamapurlake water is very pure. Near Dhamapur lake Bhagawati Temple is there. Boating fascility also avaliable.

In the Sindhudurg Fort there is 'Shri Shivarajeshwar temple' of King shivaji. Also there are temple of Hanuman & Jarimari mandir and Goddess 'Bhavani Temple'. There is also only coconut tree which has two branches

Devbag
This beautiful village 8km away from Malvan city.It is surrounded by water,only one side is attached with the land.This is the only way to inter in the villege by walk. But in rainy season this way is also under water & it looks like island.Visiters can enjoy Rice & Fish curry.

It is wellknow wakeful deity in the entire campus. Seashore of Achara is large & pleasant and is very much charmi for the tourist for reaching the destination buses are available.

(Shree Bharadee Devi): 

It is in Masure village. There is a temple of Shri Bharadee Devi in the month of Feb there is a fair arranged.

How to Reach: By Bus 14 kms. from Malvan.  

  

Bharatgad & Bhagwatgad : These two forts which have been constructed in 1701 AD. are situated near by Masure villa creek.

How to Reach: Bus facility available from Malvan to Masure.

Shree Durga Devi & Brahmadev Temple

Place: Kank 13 km from Malvan.
