It is
situated on Mumbai - Goa highway near Bhansal river surrounded by Green Coconut
gardens. It is a small city. It is home of marathi literature. It has developed
in to Industrial Belt. The Mulade Pawasi Lake the walaval sight, Tondwalis
jungles of Surie trees, the ancient caves at wadapadel village of Ghodegaon and
Kudaleshwar Temple Dutta Temple of Mandgaon, Tambe Swami's math are tourist
visiting places.

 Walaval
: It is famous
for its greenery & natural beauty. On the Full moon day we are able to
witness an amazing site. While the sun is setting, in the east direction we find
the moon rising. This beautiful sight is seen in the sky and at the same time we
find its reflection in walaval river. It seems as if we are actually watching
two moons & two sons. Laxmi Narayan Temple is also situated in the vicinity.
Sculptures are made of Blacksand the temple has six black pillars. It has
Rameshwar Temple, Devi Mauli Temple and other interesting places worth seeing.

Vithal Temple - Bimbavane:
- It was built by a lady from the family of Samanth Parulekar after having a
dream of lord vithal.

"Shrishetra - Mandgaon"
: "Parampuja Vasudevanandh Saraswati of Tembe Swami is the birth place.
The queen of Indore Built a Big temple of lord Dutta in 26th Century. Tembe
Swami's Meditation place, Sidhayog Ashram the beautiful Gangotri flowing from
Bhatale and surrounding natural beauty are the places worth visiting.
Aakeri
: It covers
Umras and other villages. Towards the South of Mandgaon there is a jungle looked
after by the Forest Department. The Greenery all around gives a cooling sight
for the eyes.

Rangana
Fort : It is on
the border of Kolhapur and Sindhudurga district. Shivaji Maharaj captured this
fort in 1659. It is 2600 feet in height. It has the facility of sweet, clean
water due to the nearby lake. Also, the whole surrounding area can be viewed
clearly from the fort. There is a temple called Ranganai Mandir.

Sawantwadi.
Vanalaxmi
(Khotale) : A
visit at the Vanalaxmi project is a must if you want to enjoy the rural
environment. The way towards it is very quiet and so you are able to enjoy the
surrounding area. At the main entrance of the gate you are greeted by the sounds
of musical instrument called 'Tutari'. After taking blessings from the Ganesh
Temple you can visit the grass huts made specially for staying. There are
artificial waterfall and manchines to view the entire Vanalaxmi. There are
mountains, mango trees, cashewnuts trees swings and other play time games. After
witnessing the Konkan culture, tasty "Konkani Food" is available from
the Konkan cuisaine.
